Manitoba Law Reform Commission: Elder abuse and neglect in Manitoba
The Manitoba Law Reform Commission released a consultation paper on Elder Abuse and Neglect in Manitoba in Summer 2021, to put the focus on elder abuse in Manitoba, and to see how this province can do better to protect older persons who are at risk.
Stefanie Goldberg and Elizabeth McCandless, Manitoba Law Reform Commission, will present information from the “Elder Abuse and Neglect in Manitoba” consultation paper, with additional time for the audience to share feedback on the paper.

Join host Chancellor Anne Mahon and a network of over 800 UM alumni, friends and fellow book lovers to connect and discuss books on ideas, literature, lifelong learning, leadership and more. Everyone is welcome to join at any time.

Decolonizing the Creative Writing Process Workshop: Frances Koncan
Be inspired by The Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture’s Writer-in-Residence Frances Koncan [BA/2010] at this online writing workshop series. Koncan, an award-winning writer of mixed Anishinaabe and Slovene descent from Couchiching First Nation, will explore the creative process for “good” writing and share how to reject colonial relics and create new processes in writing that uplift our individual voices and honour lived experiences.
