Take a tour of the exhibition “Bauhaus (Canada) 101” with the curator Dr. Oliver A. I. Botar. This exhibition was presented at the School of Art Gallery, University of Manitoba from February 13 – March 27, 2020 (Closed as of March 18). It was the only major exhibition in Canada to celebrate the centenary of the Bauhaus, the legendary German design school. This exhibition provided a crash course on the Bauhaus, founded in 1919. It offered insight into the school’s influence on Canadian architecture, furniture design, graphic design, art and pedagogy.
The exhibition was presented in partnership with the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Architecture and the University of Manitoba Institute for the Humanities.
Co-sponsored by Arthur and Judy Drache, Ottawa, and The Salgo Trust for Education, New York.
