As the Winnipeg Free Press reports:

Chris Kirouac, along with his wife Lindsay, are the people behind Beeproject Apiaries. Their interest in do-it-yourself food production and the back-to-the-land movement led them to the Beekeeping for the Hobbyist course under University of Manitoba professor Rob Currie a few years ago. Since then, they have turned their hobby into a business.
