New equipment for Joe Doupe
As part of the grand opening of the Active Living Centre, the Joe Doupe Recreation Centre at the U of M’s Bannatyne campus has received new equipment.
The weight room has been cleared out, scrubbed down and the new cardio and resistance training equipment has been moved in. The new equipment includes Precor treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, AMTs, Concept 2 rowers, as well as brand new benches, weights and plates, squat rack, hi-lo pulley system, and more. Some of the old favorites have stayed like the original squat rack, Woodway Curve, and AMT machine. There is also new TRX suspension trainers installed in the full gym.
The official grand opening will happen on Monday, April 20 at 6:30am. Equipment tutorials highlighting the features of the new Precor equipment line-up will be offered at 12:10, 1:10 and 4:10pm.
An open house event to showcase the brand new equipment upgrades will take place April 20-24. Stop by and try all the new equipment for free April 20-24.
