Honours for administrators and researchers

Congratulations to Distinguished Professor Digvir Jayas and professors Jay Doering and Rotimi Aluko for the recent honours they have received.
- The U of M’s Vice-President (Research and International) and Distinguished Professor Digvir S. Jayas, PEng, ASABE Fellow, is the 2017 recipient of the Sukup Global Food Security Award for his exceptional research and teaching career that has led to enhanced grain preservation throughout the world.
- Earlier this week it was announced that Dr. John (Jay) Doering, Associate Vice-President (Partnerships), has been elected as a new Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE).
- And last week Rotimi Aluko, professor in the Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences, was named a Fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). Only eight individuals were presented with the IFT Fellow designation at this year’s ceremony, and Rotimi was the only Canadian honoured.
