David Barber receives honorary degree from Laval
Distinguished Professor David Barber [BPE/82, MNRM/89] has received an honorary degree from Université Laval.
Throughout his 30 years of Arctic research, Barber, Canada Research Chair in Arctic System Science, and the University of Manitoba sea ice team, have had remarkably successful collaborations with researchers at Université Laval.
In awarding Barber his latest honour, André Zaccarin, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Laval, said, “David G. Barber is a distinguished researcher whose scientific contribution to the Canadian research community is simply remarkable. His scientific career also highlights the importance of excellence in research, training through research, and interdisciplinarity, principles that are dear to us at Laval University.”
