Winnipeg Lawyer Gives Virtual Address to the Graduating Class of 2020
October 15, 2020 – Winnipeg lawyer Maria M. Mitousis (SPC ’99 ’05), is the St. Paul’s College Ignatian Society’s Baccalaureate guest speaker. The release of her presentation on YouTube focuses on resilience and the value the College community has played in her life since her graduation.
The address normally occurs in April but was unfortunately canceled due to the ongoing global pandemic. The College made the decision to honour the class of 2020 with monthly notes of celebration. The graduating class of 2020 has enjoyed addresses from the Valedictorian Michael Resendes, our Dean of Studies Dr. Dilantha Fernando, and the Rector, Dr. Christopher J. Adams (SPC ’83 ‘86).
The St. Paul’s College Ignatian Society is a group of College alumni who were members of previous student councils. They host two community events annually. The Celebration of Giving and Sharing, normally occurring in November, where they celebrate the achievements of their alumni and friends community and the annual Baccalaureate Breakfast where a member of the alumni are invited to be the welcoming voice of the graduating class.
