UM Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences welcomes new associate deans

The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences is pleased to share leadership updates, effective January 1, 2026.
Incoming dean Dr. Nazim Cicek announces the appointment of two new associate deans:
- Dr. Chad Lawley, Professor in the Department of Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics, as Associate Dean Academic Programs. Dr. Lawley will lead efforts to enhance academic programs, support student success, and foster an inclusive learning environment that prepares graduates for the evolving agri-food sector.
- Dr. Rob Duncan, Professor in the Department of Plant Science, as Associate Dean Research. Dr. Duncan will guide initiatives to strengthen research capacity, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and build partnerships that drive innovation in agriculture and food systems.
These appointments underscore the Faculty’s commitment to advancing education, research, and collaboration with partners across Manitoba and beyond.
