Rady Faculty celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day with round dance

Drumming and singing filled the air of Brodie Centre atrium on June 21 as dozens of people joined hands in a round dance to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day.

UM researcher awarded funding from Research Manitoba and the Alzheimer’s Society Research Program

Dr. Jillian Stobart from the College of Pharmacy has been awarded the Alzheimer Society Research Program New Investigator Grant of $200,000, over four years, from the Alzheimer Society of Canada and Research Manitoba.

UM and UBC lead groundbreaking research to improve gut health

Researchers from the University of Manitoba and the University of British Columbia have secured a $250,000 grant from the Government of Canada through the New Frontiers in Research Fund (Exploration) to lead a groundbreaking project aimed at developing new treatments for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. The University of Alberta is also involved as a partner.
