Research study on movement fatigue seeks participants

March 6, 2019 —

Participants are needed for a research study that’s exploring the way people respond to fatigue in their movement.

You’ll be recorded by 3D motion capture while performing sets of jumps and then a treadmill run. Total time commitment is about three hours spread over two sessions at the University of Manitoba’s Fort Garry Campus.

This study may help us to identify if fatigue should be considered in movement analysis when assessing injury risk with athletes.

We’re seeking participants aged 18-35 who are physically active and participate in a court/field sport that involves jumping at least once a week.

Interested? Contact Alixandra Bellemare at 204-223-6505 or bellemaa [at] myumanitoba [dot] ca for more info and to see if you qualify.

This research has been approved by the Education/Nursing Research Ethics Board. If you have concerns or complaints about this project you may contact any of the above named persons or the Human Ethics Coordinator (HEC) 474-7122 or humanethics [at] umanitoba [dot] ca
