The Summer Research Training Institute offers a large variety of free workshops aimed to hone and sharpen your research skills and prowess.
Sessions include:
- Foundations in Literature Searching
- Managing Your References Using Mendeley
- Indigenous Research
- Introduction to Research Project Management
- Conducting Research in Schools
- and more!
The Summer Research Training Institute is based on a partnership between the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences’ College of Nursing, Faculty of Kinesiology & Recreation Management, Faculty of Education and the Centre on Aging. This program offers a variety of workshops designed to provide introductory research skills and knowledge for students, research assistants, research staff, and faculty members. Any faculty member or researcher, his/her students and research staff that are affiliated with any of the partnering faculties and unit may participate in the Summer Research Training Institute.
The Summer Research Training Institute is comprised of a combination of research events, workshops, and on-line resources held in May and June. This will provide exposure to a wide variety of experiences related to research.
