Opportunity for students to attend lecture on the Middle East

As part of the Beyond Crisis event series, Jennifer Dueck, History assistant professor and holder of the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in the Modern History of the Middle East & North Africa is sponsoring student attendance at the upcoming 2018 Sol and Florence Kanee Distinguished Speaker Series lecture, organized by the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada.

Margaret MacMillan, celebrated author, Companion of the Order of Canada, and professor of History at the University of Toronto will be speaking on the topic of The First World War and the making of the modern Middle East.

This opportunity is available to current University of Manitoba and high school students. Interested students are to email jenniferdueck [at] umanitoba [dot] ca by Wednesday, April 11 to be added to the reservation list. Students will receive a confirmation email and are to bring their student ID for entry.
