Open House for Graduate Studies in Health Sciences
Register now for the February 20 event
The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Graduate Studies are co-hosting a Graduate Studies Open House on February 20, 2019 on the Bannatyne campus. The event will give students who are considering graduate studies in the health sciences the opportunity to explore their options.
“We held the first Graduate Open House last June, and many students told me that they enjoyed the opportunity to talk to professors and students from different programs on the same day,” says Dr. Hope Anderson, Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies. “It gives them a chance to learn about their options, and explore avenues that they perhaps hadn’t considered before.”
Another benefit is that the Open House introduces students from a variety of undergraduate backgrounds to health sciences graduate programming. “We want students from all faculties to consider graduate study in the health sciences; there are great options that go beyond the expected,” says Anderson.
The Open House will feature program presentations, Bannatyne campus tours, the opportunity to network with professors, alumni and current students, an information village, and a pizza lunch. Admissions and Awards staff from the Faculty of Graduate Studies will be on hand so students can ask their questions about making their graduate studies dream a reality.
Students are encouraged to bring a resumé to drop off at the information village with potential summer job employers.
Students interested in this Open House should register here.
