UM, Engineering Community invited to virtual Montreal Massacre Memorial Service

November 24, 2021 —

The University of Manitoba Engineering Society and the Price Faculty of Engineering invites members of the campus and engineering community to the virtual memorial service in remembrance of the victims of the Montreal Massacre at Ecole Polytechnique.

On December 6th, a senseless act of violent misogyny stole a world of endless possibilities and potential away from fourteen innocent women. It was this same act that shocked our community and nation that resulted in December 6th receiving the designation as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The flag on the Administration Building will be lowered that day in remembrance.

You will be able to watch the live stream of the service on our YouTube and Facebook pages.
