Making fitness enjoyable for you

New Strong Start program aims to improve gym experience

April 5, 2018 —

Starting at a gym can be a great experience. But it can also be intimidating and overwhelming.

Some people get derailed because they’re not able to settle into a routine they enjoy. For a better gym and fitness experience, Recreation Services has introduced the Strong Start Program. For new members, It’s is a free, 30-minute consultation with a fitness attendant. You’ll chat about your fitness goals and be paired with activities that meet your needs, you enjoy, and ultimately will keep doing.

As an added bonus, your first eight visits will be scheduled to help get you on the right track.

Visit the customer services desk at either the Bannatyne or Fort Garry campus locations to get started.
