UMTI staff publishes new research on the strategy formulation of new generation ports
Researchers at the University of Manitoba’s Transport Institute at the Asper School of Business have published new research on the strategic formulation of the Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) of the port of Hong Kong in Research in Transportation Business and Management.
Adolf Ng and Huiying Zhang (with Kenneth Wong and Eva Shou) examine key aspects that have shaped the evolution of the Hong Kong port to the new generation, and detects the value source for HIT while avoiding a price war. Through an exploratory study, the paper also offer constructive recommendations to help port decision-makers foster the potential of innovation within ports.
