Kishida International Award
Dr. Digvir Jayas, P.Eng., Biosystems Engineering and University of Manitoba Vice-President (research and international), was presented with the Kishida International Award by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) at their annual international meeting in Montreal in July.
The award honours outstanding contributions to engineering-mechanization-technological programs of education, research, development, consultation or technology transfer that have resulted in significant improvements outside the United States. Dr. Jayas, a 31-year member of ASABE, was honoured for his distinguished leadership and outstanding record of international collaboration in grain storage research and education.
