Intramural officials and timekeepers needed

Recreation Services is currently accepting applications for Intramural officials and timekeepers for the 2018-2019 academic year.  

Intramural Official – Primary Function:
Responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe environment. Officials must be able to implement Intramural sport policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety. They should maintain a positive attitude onsite and should always be striving to improve their officiating skills

Intramural Score/Time Keepers – Primary Function:
Responsible for providing accurate score and time keeping records in accordance with the rules of the designated sport.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be a full-time student in the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 academic session
  • Must be eligible to work on campus and be able to produce required documentation for employment
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number
  • Previous participation as a participant, official, timekeeper or volunteer in sport required
  • Must be customer service focused, confident and decisive when working with program participants
  • Excellent verbal and physical communication skills
  • Positive attitude and excitement about the IM program
  • Experience preferred (Officials only)
  • Certification an asset (Officials only)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  • Must be available to work evenings
  • Must attend general and sport specific mandatory training program in Sept. 2018
  • Must be available for interview process on April 18, 19 or 20
