Daily bread cafe staff serving delicious food across campus
The Daily Bread Cafe welcomes hundreds of people every week, whether behind the counter serving food, at the register, or at your event at St John’s College.
What you don’t see are people like Hardev Singh, who work behind the scenes serving, cleaning, or preparing the food. Hardev has been working at the Daily Bread Cafe since 2009, when he approached Ian Park, Food Services Manager and Physical Plant Coordinator of St John’s College, for an opportunity to work there.
In what feels like a short time, Hardev has wholeheartedly enjoyed being part of the food service team for the last 14 years, where he’s created some of his best memories.
Each day brings Hardev a new learning opportunity, but what brings him joy is the camaraderie he shares with his colleagues, the connections he forms with the customers, and the challenges that come his way every day.
“Every day I come, I learn and do something new. I love the team we have at SJC; it’s like one big family.”
As he continues to serve the community around St John’s College, he is excited to keep making memories at the Daily Bread Cafe.
