First PharmD grads featured in RadyUM magazine
The cover story of the new issue of RadyUM magazine features the “pharm fresh” Class of 2023 – the first grads to complete the new doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree at UM.
The twice-yearly magazine, published in print and online, brings you the latest news and student, faculty and alumni accomplishments from the five colleges of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences: the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, Max Rady College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Rehabilitation Sciences.
Rady researchers profiled in the Summer 2023 issue include Dr. Sandra Webber, a professor of physical therapy who has conducted a study of pickleball; Dr. Chrysi Stavropoulou, an assistant professor of periodontology who is investigating why some patients with dental implants develop peri-implant diseases; and Dr. Nathan Nickel, director of UM’s Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, who sees vast potential for innovative research in the data stored in the Manitoba Population Research Data Repository.
Rady alumni showcased in this issue include Dr. Preetha Krishnan, a nurse practitioner who has just completed her PhD in nursing; Ashley Walus, a pharmacy alumna who has become an expert in hospital pharmacy management; and Dr. Aaron Kim, a member of the UM dentistry faculty who leads humanitarian dental missions to countries such as Zambia and Zimbabwe.
