Discovery fuels innovation
U of M researchers and scholars will make discoveries that contribute to knowledge, grow the economy and improve lives here and around the world.
“Manitobans are inherently modest, but there is a quiet pride in the major discoveries and contributions that start here. These advances touch people and communities around the world. We are not ones to turn our backs on a call for a solution to a problem around the corner, or on the other side of the globe.” – James Blanchard, Director, Centre for Global Public Health
For generations, individuals and businesses have rallied in support of innovation at the University of Manitoba, knowing that an investment in research is an investment in our province’s international reputation and its contribution to global innovation. At halftime of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game on Saturday, October 3 the U of M community will celebrate the accomplishments of our university and publicly launch the Front and Centre campaign.
Research at the University of Manitoba is partially supported by funding from the Government of Canada Research Support Fund.
