Dr Simon French of Queen’s University is presenting:
Developing & evaluating knowledge translation interventions designed to improve the quality of healthcare
After practicing as a chiropractor for 10 years, Dr French undertook his PhD at the Australasian Cochrane Centre, Monash University. He undertook his post-doctoral position at the School of Health Sciences, University of Melbourne. He currently holds the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation Professorship in Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen’s University. In July 2018 he will be relocating to Australia to take up the position of Professor of Musculoskeletal Disorders at Macquarie University.
His research is primarily focused on understanding, informing and improving primary healthcare practices. His research aims to improve the quality of healthcare, leading to better outcomes for people with musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on the management of low back pain and osteoarthritis. He also undertakes randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews of interventions relevant to primary care settings. He is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the open access journal Chiropractic & Manual Therapies.
