CBC Manitoba: A new report alleges the sale of a non-profit seniors complex could be considered elder abuse

The 2023 sale of Lions Place, a former seniors’ complex in downtown Winnipeg, amounted to elder abuse through a “targeted dismantling of community for older adults,” a new report claims.

Laura Funk, professor of sociology and criminology at the University of Manitoba spoke with CBC about the report she co-authored.
