Winnipeg’s Classic 107: UM students rally for people living with cystic fibrosis in annual Shinerama campaign

University of Manitoba students will hit the streets on Thursday to raise funds and awareness for people living with cystic fibrosis. It’s all part of Shinerama, an annual event that involves 20,000 student volunteers from 36 Canadian post-secondary institutions. In Winnipeg, the Commerce Students’ Association at the Asper School of Business organizes ShineToba, the University of Manitoba’s annual Shinerama campaign. The group from the UM will be set up at three locations across the city on Oct. 2, collecting funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
