Dentistry Alumni Reception at the PDC

Here’s a bit of news that may help take some of the sting out of another cold prairie winter: The College of Dentistry, in conjunction with the University of Manitoba Dental Alumni Association, is pleased to announce that the annual Alumni Reception is confirmed for March in beautiful Vancouver, B.C. One of the most popular and well-attended events of the calendar year, the Alumni Reception will take place on Thursday, March 5 in congruence with the Pacific Dental Conference, Canada’s largest oral health convention and symposium. The 2015 event was confirmed by College of Dentistry Dean, Dr. Anthony Iacopino.

“We are delighted to once again to extend our welcome to all our alumni, friends, partners and supporters to join us out on the West Coast for what is always a lively and eventful evening,” Dean Iacopino said. “And I would be remiss were I not to acknowledge and thank our industry partners, beginning with our friends at Henry Schein, for their outstanding and generous support of this event. We must also thank Designs for Vision who has kindly agreed to partner with us as well. Thanks also to Johnson & Johnson along with Bisco who have been great supporters of ours in the past and have also come forward once again to help us make this great event possible.”

The event is also co–sponsored and supported by the University of Manitoba Dental Alumni Association (UMDAA).

The reception will again be held at the Cyprus Room of the stately Pan Pacific Hotel, located on the Vancouver waterfront, adjacent to the convention centre, site of the PDC. Things will get underway at 6 pm local time.

A long-standing tradition at the College of Dentistry, the alumni reception has been warmly received by those in Vancouver for the conference or for those who call the province home. In recent years, the room has been filled to capacity with alumni from throughout the college’s 50-year history. The PDC runs March 5-7, 2015.
