The Campus Commuter Challenge is on!
With the great fall weather we’re having, the Campus Commuter Challenge couldn’t have come at a better time. While the two-week campus challenge promotes commuting in a number of ways, such as walking, taking the bus, and carpooling, there really isn’t a better time to jump on a bike. Additionally, the autumn colours are out in full force which makes the ride through the Southwood Lands spectacular.
If you’re unsure about the best way to cycle to the Fort Garry Campus, the video below will help. It will guide you to campus via Plaza Drive and the Southwood Lands, allowing you to avoid the Bishop Grandin overpass entirely.
The Campus Commuter Challenge runs from September 22 to October 3. At the beginning of the second week of the challenge, the University of Manitoba is in fourth place. If you already bike to campus, or are thinking about doing so, why not register at commuterchallenge.ca/campus and help bump the U of M up a few spots in the national standings.
