St. Paul’s College teams up to bring two Syrian refugee families to Winnipeg
In the fall of 2015 St. Paul’s College partnered with St. Ignatius Parish, St. Paul’s High School, St. Gianna’s Parish, and Holy Rosary Parish for the goal of sponsoring two Syrian refugee families. The community of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg joined together to raise funds and to collect gifts-in-kind to help achieve this endeavor. On Tuesday, October 25, 2016 the first family arrived in Winnipeg.
St. Paul’s College students have been active collaborators in this process, contributing over $1,500 which is part of the nearly $32,000 St. Paul’s College has raised to date for their this initiative.
The college is accepting donations to support this important and urgent mission. You can make your contribution by calling 204-474-9148 or online through CanadaHelps (St. Paul’s College Foundation Inc.)
