December 15, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building and the primary grouping of flags at University Crescent and Chancellor Matheson in memory of Grandfather Wanbdi Wakita, Unkan (Grandfather or Elder)-in-Residence for UM's Access Program, effective immediately until sundown on Friday, December 19.

December 3, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 in observance of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. 

November 6, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on November 11, in observance of Remembrance Day.

November 6, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on November 8, in observance of Indigenous Veterans Day.

October 23, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on October 27, in memory of Dr. Jerry Gray.

September 29, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on October 2, 2025, in memory of Mario Lebar.

September 23, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on Thurs., Sept. 25, 2025 until end of day Tues. Sept. 30th, 2025 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

August 29, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba has lowered the primary grouping of flags in honour of former Chief Jim Bear, effective immediately until sundown on Tuesday, September 2.

August 26, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba will be lowering the flag on the Administration Building on August 29, 2025, in memory of Thelma Lussier.
