Remote work program for Winter Term 2022

Newly announced program will allow some eligible support staff to work remotely

The University of Manitoba is returning to in-person activities on campus for the upcoming Winter Term, and many staff who have been working remotely will be required to return to campus.

However, there may be some instances where staff members can work effectively and would like to continue to work from home in the winter term. For this reason, the University of Manitoba has created an interim program that would allow support staff to apply to work remotely for Winter Term 2022. All support staff whose job and unit requirements would support full-time remote work are eligible to apply. Note the program is available for support staff only.

Things to consider when applying for full remote work:

  • Operational requirements of the department
  • Suitability of the role for full remote work
  • The need to be on campus for certain responsibilities or access to resources
  • Home office set up

The deadline for applications is November 29, 2021. All applications should be processed prior to the Winter Break.
