Ready to pull an all-nighter

Exams are coming. Assignments are almost due. If you’re ready to get to work and need some motivation, you’re in luck!

The Long Night Against Procrastination (LNAP) is designed just for you.

LNAP is a free, all-night event providing a safe and supported study/writing space for all students at a critical point in the term. Librarians and writing tutors will be available to work with you, providing research and writing assistance throughout the night. There are even free light refreshments!

LNAP will start on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at 10:00 pm and continue until Friday morning, November 27, 2015, at 8:00 am in the Elizabeth Dafoe Library.

Here’s the program:

10:00 pm
Long Night begins! Time to get started! Sign in. If you need help finding the best resources to support your paper, you can meet with someone at the library service desk to discuss your research. If you want feedback on your writing, you can sign up to meet with a writing tutor.

12:00 am
Light refreshments (sponsored by UMSU)

1:30 am
Short night walk – a great opportunity to stretch your legs and get some fresh air

3:00 am
Coffee (sponsored by UMSU)

4:30 am
Short night walk – another chance to take a quick break and get moving

6:30 am
Free early morning Zumba!

7:00 am
Light refreshments (sponsored by UMSU)

8:00 am
LNAP ends! Bask in your productivity

If you plan to attend the LNAP, please remember to:

• Bring your current student ID card (required for entry).
• Bring a water bottle and light snacks of your own.
• Plan your ride home in advance. If you don’t plan to stay all night, make sure that someone can pick you up. If you are planning to stay all night, please be sure to take public transit or have someone drive you home.
• Use the Safewalk Program to return to residence or to meet your ride. Student patrols will be available in the library to accompany you.
