Do you know someone who is making a big impact on sustainability on campus? Nominate them for a 2025 UM Sustainability Award.
Whether they are reducing waste at events, embedding sustainability into their curriculum or promoting sustainability among their colleagues, there are many incredible individuals and teams making a difference in sustainability.
The UM Sustainability Awards recognize and celebrate the collaborative efforts of University of Manitoba students, faculty and staff in advancing our commitment to excellence and leadership in sustainability. Sustainability Award winners create MomentUM by advancing knowledge that matters, empowering learners, and reimagining engagement through their campus sustainability efforts.
The UM Sustainability Awards recognize recipients in the following categories:
- Undergraduate sustainability award
- Graduate sustainability award
- Student group sustainability award
- Staff sustainability award
- Faculty sustainability award
- Collaborative sustainability award
Past sustainability award winners have woven environmental and social sustainability concepts into their teaching, focused on sustainable landscapes, energy and food systems in their research, and led impactful projects to advance sustainability on- and off-campus.
The deadline for nominations is March 7. Applications will be reviewed, and award recipients will be selected by the UM Sustainability Committee. The 2025 winners will be announced in Spring.
