Indigenous Engagement launches new way to connect

Stay up-to-date on what's happening with the Indigenous community on campus.

February 10, 2020 —

Indigenous Engagement recently launched a monthly e-newsletter – Indigenous Connect. The new e-newsletter will be sent to UM staff, faculty and community partners who are interested in keeping up-to-date with Indigenous-related events, announcements, job postings and more. To join the mailing list, email indigenous [dot] engagement [at] umanitoba [dot] ca.

“Over the past year, members of the Indigenous community at UM have been meeting regularly to provide updates on what is happening in regards to Indigenous matters in the faculties and units we work in across campuses. It’s our intention to improve communication to the broader UM community about the many available initiatives, workshops and resources and milestones that deserve recognition,” says Ruth Shead, coordinator of Indigenous achievement.

The Indigenous Connect newsletter will be sent out the first week of the month. If you have content you would like to see included, please email indigenous [dot] engagement [at] umanitoba [dot] ca.

The deadline to submit items will fall on the last Wednesday of each month. You can view the latest newsletter here.
