In October 2015, the University of Manitoba launched the Seniors’ Alumni Program, an interactive and exciting new initiative for seniors. The series presents opportunities for senior alumni to explore new ideas and share their love of learning.

Roberta (Bobbie) Whiteman had already worked in the child welfare sector for at least 10 years when she first learned about the new Master of Human Rights (MHR) program being offered at the University of Manitoba. On October 18, she graduates as a member of the inaugural Master of Human Rights program class her thesis already demonstrating potential to impact the work she does in changing lives.
Every dollar donated to the Douglas and Beverly Ruth Centenary Award in Engineering, up to $10,000, will be matched by Friends of Engineering, as well as an additional fifty cents from the Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative.
