Indigenous Achievement Homecoming 2017
Date: Wednesday, September 13, 2017
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Migizii Agamik – Bald Eagle Lodge
Indigenous students are invited to connect with U of M alumni, faculty staff and community leaders to learn about various career paths, and get inspired by their successes at an exciting speed networking event. Afterward, everyone is welcome to enjoy a free lunch in Migizii Agamik – Bald Eagle Lodge.

UMCycle Grand Opening

Grand Opening of the New Addition to the Taché Arts Complex
Date: Thursday, September 14
Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
Location: Taché Arts Complex, Fort Garry Campus (Enter on Maclean Crescent behind the Desautels Faculty of Music)
A brand new 60,000 square foot home for music, theatre and fine arts at the University of Manitoba is ready to open its doors. Join us for the grand opening of the new addition to the Taché Arts Complex.
Spend the evening exploring stunning new spaces, and enjoying live performances by Desautels Faculty of Music students, faculty and alumni.
There is no cost for this event but space is limited and registration is required.
Homecoming Football Game (Manitoba Bisons vs. Calgary Dinos)
Date: Saturday, September 16, 2017
Time: 12 p.m. Gates open, 1 p.m. Kickoff
Location: Investors Group Field
Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased here. Kids 12 and under are free.
Show your U of M spirit and cheer on the Bisons as they take on the U of C Dinos! Bring the whole family for a fun-filled game day experience with Billy the Bison and Mini U Programs running activities on the concourse throughout the game.
University of Manitoba Students’ Union Homecoming Block Party

The University of Manitoba Students’ Union is opening up the entire 3rd floor of UMSU University Centre to bring you the best back-to-school party around!

Brown & Gold Brunch

Hosted by Chancellor Harvey Secter & President and Vice-Chancellor David T. Barnard, please join us to celebrate your reunion with fellow classmates and commemorate the University of Manitoba’s 140th birthday as you enjoy musical performances and hear inspiring stories from students and alumni.
The Autonomous Agents Laboratory will also be on hand, showcasing their award-winning robots. The teams of undergraduate and grad students are fresh off of a very successful trip from the FIRA HuroCup robotics competition in Kaohsiung, Taiwan where they won two gold and one silver medal and finished fourth overall. Demonstrations of their two humanoid robots will include archery, weightlifting, long jump and basketball.

Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre Open Farm Day

Location: Glenlea Research Station 15 km south of Winnipeg on Highway 75
The Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre will throw open its doors to the public at no cost on September 17th. Come experience this interactive facility which explores modern food production, from the farm to your fork. You can look into a pig barn, tour the dairy barns, make ice cream and learn all about agriculture in Manitoba.
