The historic document-signing ceremonies which took place on June 21 sealed the university’s position as the new research centre of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC). It the culmination in long process of preparation that can be traced back to the U of M’s statement of apology to the TRC by President Barnard on behalf of the university.
