Shona Connelly elected as alumni representative

Shona ConnellyThe University of Manitoba is pleased to announce that Shona Connelly has been elected by her fellow alumni as the alumni representative to the Board of Governors.

Shona brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked closely with the Alumni Association for over six years. She currently serves as the vice-president of the University of Manitoba Alumni Association, has chaired the Alumni Achievement committee for the last two years, and was also chosen by the Alumni Association to be the senate representative for alumni. Shona is sure to bring an in-depth alumni perspective to her role on the Board of Governors.

A two-time graduate of the U of M, Shona earned her Bachelor and Master of Art degrees in political studies. She also has over 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including eight years serving as the director, Major Gifts for the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. Her experience has earned her a solid reputation among professionals in the fundraising community.

In her newest role Shona welcomes the privilege to stay connected to the university, having seen first-hand the role that alumni can play in supporting our University and shaping its future.
