O incrível Tardígrado Reportagem da Globo no Fantástico

January 12, 2015 —

A national Brazilian TV show did a piece on the UMSATS tardigrade project.  The footage was taken on campus in December and aired a few days ago in Brazil.

Many of the students involved in this project are international students.

“One of the greatest things about the project is the amazing opportunities it gives students,” Robyn Tully,  International Centre for Students, wrote in an email.  “Viri (the student interviewed for the show) can go on at length about how valuable it has been for her to be involved with the project – not just from a scientific point of view, but also in how it allows her to mentor younger students and develop her management and leadership skills.  She is so enthusiastic to get others involved!  Students from all over the world are on the team and a few of them have told me they wouldn’t have gotten such an amazing opportunity had they studied elsewhere.”
