iClicker Cloud

New FREE iClicker solution

April 16, 2019 —

There is a new iClicker solution available for instructors at the University of Manitoba. iClicker Cloud replaces the former iClicker Classic and is a classroom polling response system that allows instructors to poll students through a variety of polling type questions including multiple choice, numeric, short answer and target questions to receive immediate feedback.

The new iClicker Cloud solution is installed on all classroom computers, eliminating the need for a laptop or a USB key.  Additionally, polling results are now saved securely in the cloud rather than on the classroom computer.

For students, the NO COST iClicker Reef mobile application is used instead of an iClicker remote and can be downloaded at the Apple Store, Google Play Store or through the iClicker website.

If instructors would like to learn more about iClicker Cloud and how it could benefit them and their students, The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning offers two workshops: Getting Started with iClicker Cloud and iClicker Integration with UM Learn. Instructors can view detailed workshop information or register for an upcoming session by clicking on the link below:

If instructors are not able to attend a workshop, they can access iClicker support documentation on UM Learn (Support > Third-Party Integrations > iClicker Cloud) or request a consultation at:

If instructors are planning on using iClicker in their courses, they should remember to include it in their course syllabus.

iClicker Cloud is fully supported by IST and the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. If instructors have any technical issues using iClicker Cloud, they can contact the IST Service Desk at servicedesk [at] umanitoba [dot] ca or 204-474-8600.
