New day-use lockers

Working to keep your contents secure & the facility clean

October 19, 2016 —

In response to feedback received in their last annual survey, Recreation Services has installed new FREE-TO-USE day-use lockers on the 200 level of the Active Living Centre next to the Multi-Purpose Studios. Also, Recreation Services has added more day-use lockers to the men’s and women’s change rooms.

For security reasons and to improve overall cleanliness of the facilities, bags and other contents are no longer allowed on the 300 and 400 levels and should be secured in a day-use locker.

According to security services on campus, personal item theft is one of the most frequently reported crimes that occur at the U of M.

“A bag isn’t just a bag. It’s a target. If you leave it, you could lose it.” – Security Services

Recreation Services strongly encourages all members to bring a personal lock to ensure all contents are safely secured in a locker during your workout. If you do not currently have a lock, Recreation Services has them available for purchase or rent at their customer service desk on the main floor of the Active Living Centre.
