The Desautels Faculty of Music and the Department of Icelandic Language and Literature at the University of Manitoba have partnered together to present two concerts celebrating Icelandic music and culture.

The University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra dives headfirst into a program of fiery, forceful and exciting German repertoire paired alongside a brand-new work by a student composer.

This year, the Desautels Faculty of Music is honoured to host Linda and Michael Hutcheon as the Samuel Weiner Distinguished Visitors. The purpose of this fund is to bring renowned scientists or scholars to the University of Manitoba to stimulate and encourage research at the University.
