Kicking off the giving season
How will you participate in Giving Tuesday?
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes Giving Tuesday, a day that brings giving into focus during a time of year often dominated by consumerism. On December 1, charities, companies and individuals will join together and rally for the “opening day of the giving season” by supporting their favourite causes and philanthropic organizations, including the University of Manitoba.
The inaugural Giving Tuesday occurred in 2012 and the U of M first celebrated in 2014. This year a significant gift announcement on December 1 will help the U of M will mark Giving Tuesday 2015.
The U of M will be joining the global Giving Tuesday movement on social media with inspiring stories of our donors and the impact their support has on students and the community. Follow along with us on December 1st using #umanitoba and #givingtuesdayca.
