Instagram takeover student edition

Rec Management student gives us a glimpse of her day while on fieldwork placement at CMHR

November 24, 2017 —

We gave the reins to our Instagram account to fourth-year Recreation Management major Courtney Gabrielle on Thursday, Nov. 23 with the purpose of giving our followers a snapshot (and a Boomerang or two) of a day in her life while on fieldwork placement.

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management provides a Supervised Fieldwork Experience as an opportunity to enhance our students’ education and professional growth. Fieldwork is a professionally supervised placement during the fall university term of full-time (35 hours per week) experiential learning within a recreation, fitness, health or sport-related organization/agency. Fieldwork provides eligible students with an opportunity to apply knowledge gained in academic courses and exposure to new concepts of professional practice in Kinesiology and Recreation Management.

Since September, Courtney has been the Volunteer Services and Special Events Intern at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. She did an exceptional job during her Instagram takeover.
