Information and communication accessibility learning event on March 15

Good practices and resources for accessible web sites, learning platforms and libraries.

Colleges and universities in the province along with the Disability Issues Office, Government of Manitoba has formed an Accessibility Network of Post Secondary Institutions in response to the Accessibility of Manitobans Act (AMA). The aim is to work collaboratively to both promote inclusivity and share resources. As part of this initiative, the University of Manitoba, along with the Accessibility Network of Post Secondary Institutions, is proud to host an Information and Communication Accessibility learning event with special guest Jutta Treviranus, director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC).  Please join us:

With an overall focus on Information and Communication Accessibility, Jutta will discuss good practices and resources for accessible web sites, learning platforms and libraries. Jutta Treviranus, Director, Inclusive Design Research Centre, OCAD University

Jutta will share her expertise in the development of inclusive design of emerging information and communication technology and practices. In addition to her work at IDRC and as a Professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design University, Jutta heads the multi-university Inclusive Design Institute, where she and her team have pioneered personalization as an approach to accessibility in the digital domain.
