High achieving athletes
103 student-athletes achieving CIS Academic All-Canadians status for the 2014-15 season
103 Bison student-athletes qualified for CIS Academic All-Canadian status at the end of the 2014-15 season by maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (80%) or better in their field of study at the University of Manitoba.
This is the fifth consecutive season that 85 or more Bison student-athletes have achieved this national recognition.
The athletes earning CIS Academic All-Canadian represents 32.9% of all Bison sport student-athletes (310).
“Congratulations to all CIS Academic All-Canadians on their impressive accomplishment,” said Coleen Dufresne, Bison sports athletic director. “I would also like to acknowledge our coaches for recruiting these outstanding student-athletes to our campus. Exceptional coaches, a history of success both in the classroom and on the field of play and outstanding facilities continue to make the University of Manitoba the destination of choice for student-athletes from Manitoba and across Canada.”
