CBC: Alumnus named RRC president

July 6, 2015 —

CBC reports Red River College has named Paul Vogt (BA/83), a longtime university educator and public servant in Manitoba, as its new president and CEO.

Vogt comes to Red River after serving as an executive-in-residence at the University of Manitoba and advising on the development of a multi-year post-secondary education strategy for the province, according to the college.

Mr. Vogt’s career began at the University of Manitoba, where he received his BA (Hons) in Political Studies in 1983. In 1985 he was selected as a Rhodes Scholar and completed a Master of Philosophy at Oxford University with additional graduate work at Princeton University. He then returned home to serve the people of Manitoba as a teacher and civil servant.
